YG Takes Home Another Award - 2NE1 Crowned "Best New Band"

After six gruelling weeks, the wait is finally over. Just a few moments ago, the winner of MTV Iggy’s “Best New Band” award was announced. The prize went to none other than K-Pop’s queens, 2NE1!

After countless hours of promotion and voting, Blackjacks and K-Pop fans can rest their over-worked fingers and relish in the delight of the ladies of YG being crowned, the “Best New Band in the World” -- a title well deserved for this young and talented group. The competition was tough as the quartet went up against nine other talented nominees, only to come out on top.  A whopping 168 countries participated in the competition, voting for their favorite world act. 2NE1 just continues to prove over and over again that they truly are the best. Soon, their sights will be set on the international stage. Is this a sign that the world is ready for the “New Evolution of the 21^st Century”?

It seems they just might well be.  The winner of this coveted prize will also have the opportunity to host a concert in Times Square! New York, get ready to be rocked by the stellar sound that is 2NE1. The concert is scheduled for December 12.

MTV Iggy had nothing but praise about the amazing acts that all were chosen and the competition itself.  Here is what they wrote: "Our straightforward goal, from the outset, was to discover and share mind-blowing new music. To that end, we congratulate and thank all our finalists — you are the best of global pop music. Over the past six weeks, America voted for all of you in massive numbers. It’s been our pleasure to introduce you to new audiences, and now we can say with confidence — America is ready."

Congratulations ladies! You have done your fans and your country proud! You most certainly deserve this honor.  May this be the first of many worldwide awards to come. Blackjacks, your effort paid off. This is another amazing win for YG Entertainment, 2NE1, Blackjacks, YG Family fans, and K-Pop fans all over the globe, as the worldwide impact of K-Pop is shown on a global level once again.

miss A’s Suzy Looking Like Sailor Moon

miss A left for Australia Sydney on November 10 at approximately 7pm. Dispatch.co.kr caught up with miss A. On this day, Suzy was wearing an interesting outfit that made her look like a school girl. She had no makeup on and was wearing a navy and white colored one piece.

miss A is leaving for Australia in order to attend the “K-Pop Music Fest in Sydney” that will open in the Sydney AMZ Stadium which will be held on November 12.

The “K-Pop Music Fest in Sydney” commemorates the friendship between South Korea and Australia that has lasted nearly 50 years. A lot of the singers will be holding various performances with some of them even being collaborations. The performances will be broadcast on December 3 in South Korea.

Goo Hye Sun Celebrates Birthday in Australia

Goo Hye Sun is currently in Australia filming her new drama "Take Care of Us, Captain," and celebrated her 27^th birthday on the set. (It was on November 9, and is counted as her 28^th by the Korean age system, where an infant is considered 1 year old at birth.)

The crew has been in Australia since the 4^th, and on the day of her birthday was shooting at a botanical gardens. Hm, you know what that means: Australian drama fans, get out your maps and start a-stalkin’!

Goo said, “Since we’re shooting overseas, I didn’t think anybody would prepare an event like this. I’m really grateful to the people who wished me happy birthday. Because they looked after me while we’re still in the early stages of shooting and abroad, this birthday will be especially unforgettable.”

In the drama, Goo plays an airline co-pilot paired with leading man Ji Jin Hee, and the pair gets caught in a love triangle with Lee Chun Hee. The drama unfolds around the character growth, careers, and romances of those working at an airport — so think human drama, not occupation show or "Air City"-esque action — and is set to air on SBS beginning January 4 (it replaces the hot sageuk "Tree With Deep Roots," which should make for a strong lead-in).

Weekly K-Pop Music Chart - November 2011, Week 1

Sebuah sub-par, di bawah 10 atas debutnya pekan lalu tidak mencegah SNSD "The Boys" dari membuat langkah besar minggu ini semua cara untuk No 1. Ini sama sekali tidak terduga sebagai "The Boys" menyapu semua musik menunjukkan minggu lalu dan juga No 1 di peringkat paling internet, memungkinkan SNSD untuk memindahkan banyak pesaing masa lalu dan memiliki margin menang nyaman. SNSD masih relatif muda tapi mereka sudah dianggap salah satu kelompok gadis terbaik di k-pop sejarah. Ini No baru 1 lagu "The Boys" hanya menambah warisan mereka. 
Secret's "Love is Move" dibuat melompat tempat lima Nomor 2 minggu ini. Ini debut depan "The Boys" minggu lalu, tapi sekarang jatuh di belakang dengan 63 poin. Rahasia sudah menikmati tahun yang sangat bermanfaat dengan dua lagu No 1 di chart kita (Shy Boy and Starlight Moonlight) Dengan keberhasilan terbaru mereka Love is Move memukul, mereka menjadi kandidat utama tahun akhir kami "juara grafik" penghargaan. Mari lihat apakah lagu ini bisa membawa Rahasia No 1 lagu ketiga mereka tahun ini.
